The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) hosted a delegation from Al-Nabaa Forum for Dialogue, in the presence of the Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Iraq, Claudio Cordone.
Discussions focused on the role of national organizations in promoting political participation and supporting public freedoms. The forum's delegation, which included Dr. Hameed Muslim Al-Turufi and Dr. Muslim Abbas, presented the forum's efforts in encouraging civil dialogue and strengthening the capacity of national institutions, alongside its role in following up on key political and social issues and building effective communication channels between civil society and international institutions.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continued cooperation between the United Nations and Al-Nabaa Forum for Dialogue to support democratic pathways and promote a culture of participation and accountability in Iraq.
