The Vatican Ambassador to Iraq and Papal Nuncio, Mr. Mitja Leskovar, visited the Holy Karbala Governorate, commencing his visit at the Al-Nabaa Forum for Dialogue, in the presence of the Head of the Forum, Ali Al-Talqani.
The meeting was held to strengthen relations and build effective dialogue aimed at overcoming everything that threatens a humanitarian atmosphere built on coexistence and fraternity, as well as confronting extremist calls based on treason, intimidation, and monopolization. During the meeting, emphasis was also placed on the importance of supporting the values of tolerance and dialogue among various components in Iraq, and fostering cooperation with local institutions to promote social and humanitarian stability.
